Meet The Team
Verity Hunnisett – Brown
“For me, hairdressing is a vocation – you do it because you love it. A big part of that is building relationships with your clients, chatting about their ups and downs, generally putting the world to rights and knowing that they feel just a little bit better about life when they leave the salon with great looking hair”
“I have a creative background (BA Hons in Illustration) but have always had a passion for hair so I decided to retrain.
I spent two years at college studying hairdressing achieving my NVQ2 and NVQ3. I then spent two years with one of Oxfordshire’s leading salons where I was able to further develop my cutting skills.
I love that hairdressing gives me a practical way of expressing my creativity. I enjoy people and I love spending time chatting and getting to know their hair and understanding the look they want to achieve. I particularly enjoy that transformational moment when clients see their new look and the obvious boost in confidence that comes with it.
I have joined Verve and Virtue because I just love their ethos. It’s their focus on quality of experience – the idea that there’s so much more to a visit to the hairdressers then just the cut.
I now have the opportunity to apply all of my skills and life experience because I can give clients the time we both need to understand requirements, discuss the options and create the agreed style.
I’m very much looking forward to meeting you and we can both get creative over a chat and cup of coffee!”
“I’m the kind of person that prefers to understand my client’s hair, how they feel about it and what they actually want to achieve before plunging in and starting work. The problem is that this takes a little more time – and time is not something that’s easy to deliver in a pressured environment.
It’s what attracted me to Verve & Virtue and my aim is to help the team fulfil their goal of becoming the ‘go to’ salon for those that want a more relaxed and friendly environment that is wholly focused on them and their needs”
