“I’m the kind of person that prefers to understand my client’s hair, how they feel about it and what they actually want to achieve before plunging in and starting work. The problem is that this takes a little more time – and time is not something that’s easy to deliver in a pressured environment.

It’s what attracted me to Verve & Virtue and my aim is to help the team fulfil their goal of becoming the ‘go to’ salon for those that want a more relaxed and friendly environment that is wholly focused on them and their needs.”

“Hairdressing to me isn’t just a job it’s a passion. It’s about getting to know our clients, understanding their likes and dislikes and working through a plan to achieve the best results possible. It’s about tailoring a service to suit each individual and their needs, and I don’t think there’s a better feeling than making someone look and feel great.
One of the main reasons that I was drawn to V&V is because I feel this is a huge part of their ethos. I love how it’s focused solely on each individual, giving them all of your time and attention. Having the extra time to spend with clients and being able to really work together on their desired look, is what I love most.
After many years in the Industry, working in variations of fast paced salon environments, I’m so excited to start a new experience and be a part of the V&V team.”

“I joined Adam & the team at V&V last August, and it was the best decision I've made.

I felt part of the team from my first day, and I know I'm going to have a very happy future at V&V.

Listening, discussing and advising clients about their hair colour and cut, using my knowledge and creating a calm, relaxing experience, is what I love most. Especially doing a nice, relaxing head massage using our Davines products.

I'm passionate about Davines and have used both their colour and styling products for the last seven years.

There's nothing better than seeing how happy clients are at the end of their appointment, and that they look and feel great too.

That said, the relationship you build with clients is really something special. Getting to know each other and their lives is truly special.

I care and I love my job so much, and it's so refreshing being in a salon that allows you to have time with each client to do what you love to the best of your ability.”

Stylist

"I've been a stylist for 21 years, but for the last five, I've taken a break from the industry to be at home for my biggest achievements - my two beautiful daughters, aged nine and eleven. Now, my daughters are getting a bit older and less dependent, and I feel the time is right to return to my calling.

I completed an apprenticeship at Matthew Clulee Oxford, where I worked my way up to artistic director and spent eight years there, followed by another eight years at Andrea and Achille.

While away from the industry, I became a client of V&V and it was always apparent to me that this salon is worlds apart from the traditional salon culture. V&V offers a relaxed and friendly aesthetic and vibe for both clients and staff. It provides you with the ability to make people feel amazing, with endless socialising and the time to explore a wider range of creative solutions.

I particularly like the time to build genuinely meaningful relationships with our clients. It's an opportunity to chat about life's challenges – good and bad – and, after all, there's not much a good haircut, chat, and cup of tea can't sort out!

I'm very excited to be working as part of the V&V Team and I look forward to meeting more of you, our clients, over the next few months."
